Entertainment appealing to a wide variety of tastes is provided regularly.

There is a comprehensive daily program of activities which are held within and with out the home and we have strong links with the local community.

Concerts are held regularly including Christmas, Easter, St. Andrew's Day and many other memorable occasions, not forgetting our national bard Robert Burns. Theatre outings have also proved popular.

We seek to cater for all interests and tastes and we would welcome your suggestions on how we may expand these.

Should you have a hobby or interest of your own which is not included within our program we would be delighted to assist you in pursuing it, in addition to the activities already provided.

For those interested in shopping, Ayr has an award winning town centre, which offers excellent facilities and hosts a variety of stores with a wide range of interesting shops and tearooms.

To add to the various services and activities already mentioned the home has a specially adapted mini bus which is fully equipped to accommodate residents in wheelchairs, our activities coordinator is responsible for planning and directing most recreational activities. The mini bus is especially popular during the summer months when visiting local garden centres, parks and other places of interest. Indoor bowling and tea dances also make enjoyable afternoon outings.

Social Committee

The Care Homes each have a social committee, who meet regularly to discuss forthcoming events, fund raising and any other matter that may arise.

It is an informal gathering and is a good opportunity to get together and enjoy a morning coffee or tea, home baking and a chat.
