The accommodation offered at Suncourt is of the highest standard.

A beautiful room, a delightful view, a favourite chair, the companionship of special friends - we have created an elegant environment for the enjoyment of all; or take time out to relax in the soothing ambience of your own private retreat where cherished possessions and mementos take pride of place.

All rooms are spacious, have an attractive outlook and are decorated and furnished to a very high standard.

The rooms are cleaned daily and bed linen changed at least once a week - more often if required. Noise is kept to a minimum, with the exception of alarm systems.

The bedrooms are fitted with quality carpets with co-ordinated, curtains and bedspreads. Also included is:

  • a bed
  • a wardrobe
  • a three-drawer unit
  • a bedside unit
  • a bedroom chair
  • a full-length mirror
  • a coffee table
  • a carer call system

Residents are encouraged to bring in personal furnishings provided they comply with health and safety standards. Any electrical equipment must be checked by a qualified electrician when brought into the home. All personal belongings require to be labelled for means of identification. Most bedrooms have a garden view.

We have a number of lounges in Suncourt House, each varying in size and function, offering our residents a choice of surroundings and atmosphere. The lounges are spacious, tastefully decorated and furnished with quality chairs and tables. The lounges are bright and offer excellent views of the golf course and landscaped gardens.

The dining room is comfortable and spacious. The dining room is beautifully furnished and tastefully decorated. Eating in the dining room is recommended but residents who are unwell and unable to attend the dining room may have their meals in their rooms.

Bathrooms

Bathrooms

Most en-suite bathrooms are suitable for wheelchair bound persons. There are bathrooms and toilets with specialised equipment suitable for disabled persons situated throughout the home. Residents are asked to intimate to staff their current bathing requirements. Bathrooms and shower rooms can have locks but staff can gain access easily in an emergency.

On the upper floor on the passageway near the staff room is a small kitchen which Residents and Visitors can use if they choose & are able to maintain their independence in making tea/coffee and small snacks. Please ask kitchen staff to replenish stock when required.

Gardens

Gardens

The gardens of Suncourt House are landscaped with lawns, trees, shrubs and flowerbeds; residents are encouraged to take an interest in its cultivation. The building is surrounded by a paved walkway to allow for excellent mobilisation of wheelchairs.

At the rear of the garden is a dementia friendly garden with wheelchair access for residents to enjoy.
