Our qualified nurses are registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.

All care assistants participate in training leading to Scottish Vocational Qualifications in care. This qualification is recognised nationally by the body Care and Social Work Improvement Scotland.

Since 1993 all Care Homes have been Scottish Qualification Authority approved centres to undertake Scottish Vocational Qualifications in Health and Social Care.

All Care Assistants undertake training in Health and Safety, First Aid, Equal Opportunities and Direct Residential Care as part of their SVQ. All of our staff have achieved qualifications to SVQ 2 or above.

Trained nurses undertake Workplace Assessor Training to TDLB standard to assess the work of the care assistants. Professional study and in-house training courses are held on an ongoing basis.
