Nursing & Residential Care

It's our policy to undertake an early assessment to ensure that we meet the precise needs of whoever intends to join us.

The detailed Personal Care Plan then devised covers a resident's emotional and social needs, as well as their medical care. It becomes an everyday reference point, not a document confined to a file.

On admission to one of our care homes, each new resident is allocated to a specific Registered General Nurse to help develop a strong and lasting rapport.

In addition to a nationally qualified nurse being close at hand 24 hours a day, a care assistant will be allocated to each resident to ensure clothing, toiletries and other necessities are in good order. These assistants will demonstrate capability, warmth and utmost integrity.

A rare level of reassurance

A rare level of reassurance

Preserving dignity, protecting privacy and promoting wellbeing are top priorities at Thorntoun.

Meticulous monitoring ensures that these priorities receive due attention. However, we still seek feedback from relatives and residents on whether we can provide an even better level of service, because what we don't care for here is complacency.
